:(

Today's the first day of the new block. Was only from 9 to 12pm :D
Was feeling quite sick still. And i'm running a slight temperature now (again!) :(

Supposed to meet hweeshan at compasspoint after sch today but she couldn't make it in the end.
so...headed for lunch with jacq, grace, esther and hajar :D after that esther and hajar left first. grace and jacq waited with me to pass the CTI shirt to Alicia, then we headed to Wheelock Place to service our laptops. Some of the rest joined us later.
I accompanied Grace to citibank. and while waiting for the rest to sms us where they were, we did some window shopping :) Grace joined the rest later on while i went to meet Richmond and Justin at Heeren's.

----------------------------

Matthew 18:15
"Moreover if your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault between you and him alone. If he hears you, you have gained your brother."

Many people apply this verse differently than the intended way. When a person is hurt, they normally confront the other person with a spirit of anger and revenge. But they have misunderstood the reason Jesus instructed us to go to one another. It is not for condemnation but reconciliation. HE doesn't want us to tell our fellow brother/sister how rotten he/she has been to us. We are to repair that breach that prevents the restoration of the relationship.

This is the way that God uses to restore us to Himself. Though we have sinned against God, He "demonstrated His own love towards us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8) Are we willing to lay down our self-protection and die to pride in order to be restored the one who has offended us? God reached out to us before we asked for forgiveness. Jesus decided to forgive us before we even acknowledge our ofense.

.HAPPY day.

Today's a long long day.
7:30am: Took a cab with Justin to pick Nico up, then to East Coast, to continue with our filming
8:00am: Reached ECP, Justin, Nico and I were the earliest, then Jacq and Azmi came along, with our breakfast from Mac's (thanks!) And then, Grace came too :D
10:30am: Left for Tampines
11:30am: Finished filming all missing scenes!
12 :10 till 1:10pm: lunch!
Then headed down to Cityhall :D

Was so so glad we managed to complete our filming! We were all afraid initially, because we had to shoot all the missing scenes, and that would mean going to various venues. Also, since Justin (the other one :P) is in Perth, we might have problems finding another black car to shoot that scene. Thankfully, there was this man who was just sitting at the back of his car (most importantly, it was black!), so Grace and I approached him and he agreed to help us out in that short scene :D We ended our filming at East Coast much earlier than expected, then headed down to Tampines to film another few scenes. We headed to Nico's house and showed auntie Charlene the film we took. Then headed to Century Square for lunch :D (auntie Charlene drove us there, it was really kind of her :D)

Because everything went on smoothly, i managed to reach St Andrew's Cathedral on time for CTI's concert. It was GREAT. 300 over students came (and that is only for the East area, there's still North, West and others.) The theme was about FREEDOM. Remember my previous entry on what do you think freedom means?

What TRUE FREEDOM should mean (and what it means to me as well):

Firstly, there is the dilemma
Having Rules isn't necessarily a bad thing. Yet, freedom is also a virtue.
While Rules protect us, freedom gives us room to express ourselves.
However, when we set rules selfishly, we gain at the expense of others.
Such rules harm people more than protect them.
Similarly, when we want freedom selfishly we get our way without consideration for others and what's right or wrong.

So what's the real problem?
The problem actually lies neither in rules nor in freedom.
It lies with our SELFISHNESS.
This selfishness sets us up to face the intense anger of God.
It sets up a moral trap. (clear so far? :D)
a moral trap means we need help....

The Solution...
We need help from a perfect and powerful person.
Jesus is the only perfect and powerful person who can set man FREE from this moral trap.
** Firstly, the anger of God was on Him when He died on the cross for us.
** Secondly, we can be set free from selfishness.

This is the Freedom we need - true freedom to do what is right.

Had a really tiring day, better rest early tonight and looking forward to church tomorrow :D

Nicolette was great. We managed to shoot quite a number of scenes. Tomorrow gotta continue filming a few more scenes which we missed out. Hope it won't tire her out :D

What is freedom to you???

Had Romans trail at Emmanuel House this morning.
That was the very first question we were asked...
How will you answer?
Some of the answers that the sec sch students gave were:
* freedom is to do whatever we want
* there is no restrictions and limitations
* dismissal from school (haha!!)
* doing things that benefit me

Is this truly freedom?
